Seasonal Cleanup

Seasonal Cleanup in Chicago

Prepare your landscape for every season with thorough spring and fall cleanups, leaf removal, mulching, and winterization to protect your investment.

Seasonal Cleanup

What's included

  • Spring & fall cleanup
  • Leaf removal
  • Mulch installation
  • Winter preparation

Chicago's seasons change quickly, and every change leaves work behind: matted leaves and storm debris after winter, overgrown beds by midsummer, and a thick layer of leaves every fall. Seasonal cleanups keep your landscape healthy and tidy, and ready for whatever comes next.

Spring cleanup

Once the ground thaws, usually in March or April, we clear winter debris, cut back last year's perennials and ornamental grasses, edge and tidy the beds, and refresh the mulch. It's the quickest way to make a yard look cared for at the start of the season.

Fall cleanup and leaf removal

Leaves left on the lawn through winter smother the grass and encourage disease such as snow mold. Fall cleanup clears leaves from lawns, beds, and hard surfaces, cuts back spent plants, and leaves the property neat heading into the cold months.

Mulch and winter preparation

A fresh layer of mulch holds moisture, keeps weeds down, and insulates roots against Chicago's freeze-thaw swings. Before winter we also protect tender plants and make sure beds are ready for snow and cold.

Seasonal containers

Cleanup is only half of a seasonal refresh. We also design container plantings for every season, from fall harvest arrangements to holiday evergreens, so entrances look finished all year.

Common Questions

Have a question we didn't cover? Call us at (773) 456-1537.

When should I schedule a fall cleanup?

Most fall cleanups happen in late October and November, after most of the leaves have dropped. Yards with many trees may benefit from a second visit.

Do I need a spring cleanup if I had a fall cleanup?

Usually, yes. Winter always leaves debris behind, and spring is the time to cut back perennials and grasses left standing for winter interest and to refresh mulch before plants fill in.

Can seasonal cleanups be combined with lawn care?

Yes. Seasonal cleanups fit naturally alongside our lawn care and garden services, so one team can look after the whole property through the year.
